Dear Ms. *** Thank you very much for your interest in pursuing graduate study in Japan. First of all, Institute for Media and Communications Research at Keio University is purely research-oriented, not a degree-granting institute. If you like to get a master's degree, you can apply to graduate school of sociology at Keio University where I am on a faculty board. I am willing to be your academic advisor, if you pass the entrance exam scheduled late September for enrollment in next academic year which starts in April. The exam has two steps. First, you have to take a paper-and-pencil type exam on English and your major field of study, such as social psychology, communication studies, etc. If you clear the first step, then you will have oral exam on your study plan for graduate work. |
