Basic ethical attitude and social awareness determines the essence of all our actions. We conduct our business operations in a responsible, honest, fair and considerate manner. LEM informs its employees, shareholders, the media and financial analysts as well as other target groups in a comprehensive and transparent manner and on the basis of the principle of equal treatment.

The accounts, the annual financial statements and all other financial information are prepared in compliance with the relevant legal provisions and statutes. Strict adherence to accounting rules and the selected accounting principles and standards are maintained.

No employee shall pass on any non-public information to third parties.

We do not offer, promise, grant, accept, tolerate, knowingly benefit from or demand any bribes or other improper advantages.

LEM employees shall not accept or offer any gifts or favors that might be construed as influence-enhancing. If it is customary in a cultural environment to exchange gifts, these shall be of a symbolic nature.

Intellectual property and confidential information

LEM treats all confidential and sensitive information with the utmost care. This includes technical know-how, best practices in operations, market or customers information, and any financial data.

Employees should not pass on any confidential information without having checked if a proper contractual agreement is in place (e.g. non disclosure agreement NDA), limiting the use of this information by the third party.

All exchange of confidential information needs to be limited to the minimum required for the business purpose. The exact content of shared information needs to be properly assessed by a senior person in charge of the related business.

Employees leaving the company must adhere to their contractual obligation regarding company information.

Our employees honor the ethical principles described, also in their dealings with third-party companies. We reject ethically improper business transactions. Customer and supplier information is protected. Access to such information is limited to employees who require the information for transacting business.

LEM is active in various countries and must therefore comply with different national and international laws and regulations. All employees in contact with public authorities are responsible for observing the applicable laws and regulations.

This Ethics Code is binding upon all LEM employees. Any queries concerning these principles, or reports on their violation, need to be addressed to the Human Resources department and Management.

Such reports shall be treated with the appropriate confidentiality and anonymity.

Communication

These principles are publicly accessible via the Internet and are also published in the LEM offices world-wide. All employees are informed about the principles by the Human Resources department when joining the company.
